The AAS/GT Parent Information Night will be held on Thursday, January 12, in the CES/CIS Cafeteria from 6-7 PM. If you would like information on nominating your student (grades K-5), you are encouraged to attend. There will be a school holiday on Monday, January 16 in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.


That’s right!  We are going to be skating in P.E. for 2 weeks.  In-line skating 101 is an “in school” field trip that will be brought to us January 27-February 9 during student's P.E. time.  The cost will be $10 per student to rent skates and safety equipment for 2 weeks. Permission slips and details were sent home with students and money and permission slips are due before Thursday, January 19.


You’re invited to our CISD Cyberbullying Parent Meeting, hosted by the Caldwell ISD School Counselors on Monday, January 23. The meeting will begin at 6:00pm at the CMS cafeteria. If you have any questions, please contact your school’s counselor.


Caldwell Intermediate will be attending the 2017 district UIL meet in LaGrange this year. The UIL meet will be hosted on two different days. 
Students who are participating in Art, Maps Graphs & Charts, Listening Skills, Music, and Spelling will attend the UIL meet on 
Tuesday, January 24
Students participating in Number Sense, Dictionary Skills, Oral Reading, Social Studies, Storytelling, or Chess will attend the meet on Monday, January 30
More information about the UIL meet will be sent home with UIL participants. GOOD LUCK to all who are participating!


Nominations for the Advanced Academic Services(AAS)/ Gifted and Talented(GT) are currently being accepted. Nominations began on Tuesday, January 3rd and will end Friday, January 27 at 3:30pm. Nomination forms may be picked up in the CIS office or downloaded online at the Caldwell Intermediate School website. Forms must be signed and returned by Friday, January 27th at 3:30pm, when nominations close. Students who have been nominated will be screened/tested through the months of February-April. Parents will be notified in June if their child qualifies for the program.
