National Junior Honor Society Caldwell Middle School

The Caldwell Middle School National Junior Honor Society is a local chapter of a prestigious national organization. Students are invited to join NJHS based on their outstanding performance in the area of scholarship, service, leadership, character, and citizenship. (Adapted from NJHS website.)

  Meetings :  Meetings are announced periodically as the need arises.  Listen to the school announcements for information.  

DUES :  Remember to pay your dues of $5.00 to your advisers or treasurer.  Dues are used for induction ceremonies, national dues, membership pins, and service projects.

  U.I.L .:  All N.J.H.S. members MUST try out for an academic U.I.L. event.

    INDIVIDUAL SERVICE HOURS:  According to the bylaws, members must complete at least FIVE hours of individual service.  The Constitution indicates that the project should reflect the "particular talents and interests" of the member.  Generally, it is best to steer away from activities that directly benefit a member's family, and no financial compensation may be obtained for the service.  We will allow up to 1.5 hours for volunteer work for church/community organizations in which you are currently participating.
