Nurse Magee, Caldwell Elementary School

"Our nurse, Mrs. Magee, is truly an angel on earth. Where do I even begin? She has taken my son’s diabetes diagnosis and gone above and beyond in every possible way to care for him. From buying him snacks for when his sugar is low to surprising him with little gifts just to remind him he’s loved, she pours so much heart into what she does. Because of her, my husband and I are able to feel at ease while we’re away from him during the day. She keeps me updated, watches over him so closely, and makes sure he is always safe, healthy, and happy. The love and dedication she shows mean more to our family than words can truly express." -Parent

She was nominated by her campus staff, who say that Ajriana is a "hardworking 8th grader who always has a smile and is willing to help out in any way she can. She consistently demonstrates a strong work ethic and takes pride in doing her best both in the classroom and beyond. Ajriana is also heavily involved in athletics, competing in multiple sports throughout the year, and brings that same dedication and team-first mindset to everything she does. Her positive attitude and kind spirit make her someone others enjoy being around, and she is always quick to lend a helping hand to both classmates and staff."

"Mrs. Lucherk is the best because she always shows up to school! Even if it's a good day or a bad day, she shows so much love to me, and I appreciate her so much! She gives us popcorn, and she pays for it with her own money! Even though she does not get that much money in her job, she uses some of it on us. Oh, and did I say that she lives all the way in Brenham? That's 40 min away from school, so she has to wake up so early to come care for us, and the hardest part is that she has to always stay in a good mood! If I were her, I would probably be fired by now!" -Student

"Mrs. Faust is the best because she is always willing to help us get better. In choir, she is always making sure we understand everything to do our best. She always makes people smile when they do something amazing. She always motivates us to try our best and never give up. When doing ocarinas, she tells us not to get mad if we do not pass a song because other people have been on it for a long time. We are so happy she got to teach us this year.
